On 12 February 2016, Fortunato Guadalupi was appointed general director of TERRA FOOD.
Fortunato was born in southern Italy to a successful businessman in the dairy industry, whose family’s dairy business goes back 60 years. Fortunato himself has been a recognised international expert in the dairy business for over 30 years, combining the successful experience of a businessman and a systemic manager.
In January 2015, Fortunato joined the TERRA FOOD team as a strategic development consultant. In June of the same year, he was appointed member of the supervisory board.
From 2013 to 2014, he worked as a strategy and management consultant in Belarus at the country’s most modern dairy plant – Turov dairy plant. There, he took part in the development and launch of a business line that involved modern production of soft brine cheeses using the latest Italian technology.
From 2010 to 2012, he held the position of managing director at L’Aia Vecchia SRL (Italy), which specialises in the production of high quality fresh and mature cheese.
From 2009 to 2014, Fortunato founded and maintained shareholder status of the financial/investment company, INNOVA SRL (Italy).
From 2004 to 2012, he held the position of managing partner at consulting company Dairyplus SRL The company specialised in processes aimed at strengthening business and capital, M&A, and investment funds in international dairy operations. As part of a project contract from 2006 to 2011, he was a strategy and management consultant at the international company, Gerson Lehrman Group (food & beverage).
From 2001 to 2002, Fortunato was a member of the board of directors and honorary treasurer at the Thailand-Italian Chamber of Commerce.
From 1993 to 2003, he held the position of managing director and regional director at the international dairy company, Parmalat Italia S.p.A. (Ukraine, Russia, India, Thailand, Vietnam).
From 1986 to 1993, Fortunato managed and developed his own family-owned dairy business, founded by his father in 1956. Products under the Villanova brand, produced at the CPL Guadalupi SRL plant in southern Italy, enjoyed immense popularity in the local market.
Fortunato graduated in economics from the Guglielmo Marconi Università degli Studi in Rome, Italy. His previous studies were at Università degli Studi di Bari, majoring in economics and trade.
His native language is Italian, though he is fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
