The contract with the new partners was signed in November 2015, after which the long NAFDAC certification process (National Agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) began. As part of the certification, the company's production sites were visited by inspectors of the above-mentioned agency for the management and control of food and medicine. Then NAFDAC representatives got acquainted with technologies of production of different types of products, participated in tastings and were pleasantly impressed by the high quality and flavor characteristics of the "TERRA FOOD" products. Inspectors also noted the high level of hygiene and training of specialists.
In the first installment, the Company shipped 23 580 kg of products (chocolate paste TM "Ciokonatto" of different weight and packing - 500g and 1kg). In 42 calendar days, Nigeria finally got the first container (in December 2017).
"We plan to expand the range of products by the spread group (soft margarine for hot countries), as well as develop new products in which the Nigerian market is interested, for example, condensed milk. In addition, we need to adapt the packaging for existing products and offer an alternative trademark for chocolate paste, "says Olga Bubnikovich, manager of regional development of new markets for TERRA FUD.
Nigeria has 186 million inhabitants and is the largest nation-state in Africa and the seventh country in the world.
